About Eryn

Eryn is a hand-weaver based in New Hampshire.  Her textiles are woven on a 19th century loom, complete with its original gear and a few homemade additions.  A love of craft and textiles was born in her grandmother’s basement where she was taught how to quilt and sew.  In 2023, Eryn  attended the Marshfield School of Weaving to begin her hand-weaving education and she returns regularly to Vermont to study at the Newbury School of Weaving and Weaver’s Croft.  She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in 2013 and is still found on the night shift in the intensive care unit.

Eryn’s love of all things old and wooden can be traced back to Goffstown, NH.  As a child in the pews of St Matthew’s Church she was mesmerized by the 1869 tracker pipe organ.  In high school she learned how to play the organ on that instrument, feet and hands moving simultaneously to create music.  Now, photos of that same pipe organ hang beside the loom.  Her hands and feet move now to create cloth, mind still in a fugue state.
